Parents Stay In

Since 2002, Kootenai Outpatient Surgery has offered every parent the opportunity to participate in the Parent Present Program - allowing parents to be with their children before surgery.

One parent may accompany a child, ages 12 and under, to the operating room until the young patient is asleep. This program was highlighted in a recent issue of Kootenai Health's Vim & Vigor magazine. Read more and see our Frequently Asked Questions page on Ambulatory Surgery.
