Outpatient Care
Delivering cancer therapy with compassion
At Kootenai Cancer Center, patients receive outpatient chemotherapy treatments in a closely monitored yet comfortable area. Treatment rooms are staffed with certified oncology nurses dedicated to patient advocacy and compassionate care. Nurses monitor patients for comfort and side effects while implementing treatment, helping patients understand medications and answering questions as they arise.
The oncology pharmacy team is an integral part of the Cancer Center's operation. The team is made up of experienced, dedicated pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who provide pharmaceutical compounding, dispensing and drug information to the patients receiving therapy. Their role is critical in supporting the nurses and physicians involved in patient care.
Patients and families are encouraged to use the education rooms for information regarding diagnosis, treatments, and psycho/social issues.
