Kootenai Health Triathlon for Kids
The Kootenai Health Triathlon for Kids is a safe, fun event designed to promote health and fitness to the youth of our community.
The 2010 Kootenai Health Triathlon for Kids will be held on September 4.
Event Details
The 2nd Annual Kootenai Health Triathlon for Kids has been set up and designed to promote health and fitness to the children of our community. The goal of this triathlon is to make every child a winner. The course has been designed so parents and families will be able to watch, support and encourage their child to have a successful experience throughout the event. Each finisher will receive a finishing medal to reward them for their accomplishment. Please take a moment to read the following information, as we have made some changes to the event.
Registration
Last year the event sold out prior to the race; participants are strongly encouraged to register early. The race will be limited to the first 200 participants to ensure the safety of each athlete. You can download a registration form here, or pick one up at the McGrane Center for Rehabilitation front desk, Vertical Earth Bike Shop and other community locations. Registration forms need to be received at the designated address (Triathlon for Kids, c/o McGrane Center, 2003 Kootenai Health Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID, 83814) by August 27, 2010. Forms can also be dropped off at the McGrane Center Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Local participants are strongly encouraged to pick up their race packets the day before the race (Friday, September 3, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the McGrane Center's west entrance). Packets may also be picked up between 7:30 - 8:45 a.m. on race day. If the race is not sold out, race day registration will occur between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. The mandatory pre-race meeting will be at 9:15 a.m. poolside at the McGrane Center to go over race course and any last minute details.
