Help protect Kootenai County's kids: Become a certified car seat safety technician
Safe Kids to offer September class at Kootenai Health Park in Post Falls
Sarah Nielsen has installed hundreds of car seats since she became a certified car seat safety technician for Safe Kids Kootenai County. While she's made a lot of children safer, there are many more families who could benefit from help - but Sarah can't do it alone.
Also an instructor, she's looking for additional volunteers to become certified in order to reach additional families whose small children remain at risk because they're riding in worn out or improperly installed car seats. That includes 75 percent of the car seats out there, Nielsen said.
Here's how you can help. Sign up today for the Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Course starting Sept. 9 at the Post Falls Health Park.

Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification Course
8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Sept. 9-12
Post Falls Health Park (1300 E. Mullan Ave.), Post Falls
Fee: $60, reimbursed for those who help at two Safe Kids car seat events
