Patient Condition Reports

A patient condition report is a one-word description of a patient's current medical status.

Under current laws, news media must provide the patient's name before the release of any patient information. Additionally, Communications and Marketing will not release information about:

  • Patients who request no information be released.
  • Patients who are under age 18, without a parent or legal guardian's written consent.
  • Patients who are involved in domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse, child/elderly abuse, chemical dependency or attempted suicide.
  • Patients who are being assessed for behavioral health issues.
  • Patients in danger as determined by law enforcement officials.
  • Patients discharged who have not given written consent.

As required by law, if a patient is considered "confidential" for any of the reasons stated above, Communications and Marketing cannot acknowledge even the fact that they are a patient.
